Regarding Rep. Jason Altmire's choice to vote "no" on the health care bill, it should be noted that in the last year alone, he received $171,931 in contributions from people in health-related fields, according to opensecrets.org, a contribution watchdog site.

Based on these numbers, members in the health care and pharmaceutical industry represented 60 percent of his top donors. This vote had nothing to do with his constituents. They don't donate enough to matter to him.
