Primary unfairness
All the talk about open primaries makes me angry for two reasons:
1) Political parties are private clubs. Membership privileges, such as voting, should come only with membership. If voting becomes open to outsiders, what's to prevent members of opposing parties from voting for the candidate least likely to win in an election?
2) On the other hand, at present, the primaries for Democrats and Republicans are paid for by taxpayers.
The solution to this unjust situation is to have open primaries for those political parties that force taxpayers to pay for them. Libertarians choose candidates at our conventions, at our own expense.
