The westbound Parkway East will close overnight all week for continuing work in the “bathtub” section. All westbound/inbound traffic will be required to exit at Grant Street starting at 9 p.m. through Friday. Work concludes by 5 a.m. daily. Tonight’s closure will be pushed back until traffic for the Steelers game subsides.
Interstate 79 will be restricted to a single lane both ways at Meadow Lands (Exit 40) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and overnight starting at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday as PennDOT prepares to shift traffic back to the mainline at 6 a.m. Friday.
A new, longer on-ramp at Interstate 70’s Eighty Four-Glyde exit will open at about 8 p.m. Thursday, connecting Route 519 to eastbound I-70. The old ramp will close.
Adjustment of the barrier on the ramp from northbound Route 837 to the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge will cause traffic shifts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Friday this week. The ramp will stay open but there may be periodic traffic stops of up to 15 minutes. PennDOT is hoping to reduce truck collisions with the barrier.
Inspection, cleaning and painting on the Hulton Bridge will cause alternating one-way traffic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily through Friday.
Pangburn Hollow Road in Forward will reopen to all traffic at noon today. It has been closed between Bunola River and Saddlers Hollow roads for more than a year during replacement of three culverts.
Pearce Mill Road will have alternating one-way traffic at times between Route 910 and Brown Road in Pine from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays starting Tuesday and continuing through Nov. 23 for work on a drainage inlet.
Fern Hollow Road, partly closed by a slide for the past year, has fully closed to through traffic between Duff City Road and Camp Meeting Road in Sewickley Hills for permanent repair work. The normal traffic pattern will be restored when construction ends in late December.
