West Liberty Avenue: pain ahead
A two-year, $7.3 million reconstruction project on West Liberty Avenue begins July 12.
PennDOT will hold a public meeting on the project details, schedule and traffic restrictions on Wednesday, July 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Dormont Public Library.
The project will cause major disruption but is designed to improve safety on one of the region's most crash-prone roads. It will provide four defined traffic lanes and new left-turn lanes and green-arrow signals at some intersections.
