Singin' the Black Friday blues...
Al Bergman has been at work trying to keep the tempo up at the Macy's at Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg.
Helping him along: Mariah Carey, Andy Williams and the Macarena.
Mr. Bergman is the DJ hired for the Black Friday festivities. He sat behind a table and small laptop that played through a pre-set list of Christmas standards culled from his CD collection (his usual repertoire for Saturday afternoons at the store is more general interest).

"All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey kicked things off, because really, what else could?
At 4:30 a.m., the frenzy had passed, so Mr. Bergman, who works full-time in maintenance at Norwin School District, tried to keep the song selection upbeat to keep shoppers' toes tapping. No "Silent Night" here -- it was time for Andy Williams crooning "Happy Holidays," with Dolly Parton next on the line-up.
There were two requests made so far: a group of teenage girls wanted the Macarena so they could dance beside the perfume counter, and a store manager asked for "Believe" by Cher in a nod to the Macy's holiday a campaign of the same name.
