The Leslie Park Collective — the people who brought you the Accordion Pool Party and night sky watching events from inside the (empty) Leslie Park pool — have turned to artists for their next event.

“Project: Lido,” curated by Amanda Donnan, will bring to the decommissioned city pool an exhibition of 13 artists for “a multisensory outdoor gallery experience,” according to a notice sent by Susan Englert, one of the leaders of the collective.

An opening reception is tonight from 7 to 10 at the pool. It will feature music by Edgar Um. The park is on 47th Street but you can see it from Butler Street.

The artists are Nina Marie Barbuto, Chris Beauregard, Brian Brown, Felipe Castelblanco, Nayda Collazo-Llorens, Cara Erskine, Suzie Silver with Scott Andrew and Harrison Apple, Tobias Madison, Stephanie Ross, Shaun Slifer + Jessica McPherson.

The works range from organic sculptures to sound and video projects.

The Leslie Park Collective has been keeping the empty pool on people’s radar as its members gather support for a reuse.
