Kudos to kiddos

Derek Green, founder of StashTheTrash, has been incapitated by an accident since November, but his organization got a lot done in the fall and he wanted to make his kudos to a group of kids public. He supplied this photo.
Students at Weil Elemenatry in the Hill District (shown here) filled more than 25 large bags with litter and debris in their neighborhood in October. They were among the thousands of volunteers who took part in Redd-up cleanups.
Derek is recovering speedily, he reports, and expects his organization to be ready in the spring to take on a clean-up schedule he is planning now.
The web site will be updated in February.
