My stars! Has it been that long?

Years ago, back when “blog” was a sound made by congested old men, I wrote a print-version of the Walkabout column. Some of you may remember.

One column was based on a tour of the Allegheny Observatory in Riverview Park.

I haven’t been back there since, but I feel as if I have today.

One of Walkabout’s photo buddies, David Aschkenas, sent this link to his beautiful slide show of the observatory, about which he has recently completed a book on its history. I’m trying to get details about the book and will post when I do.
