Every neighborhood has its Energizer Bunnies who plan things to attract visitors and enhance their own residents’ quality of life.

Folks in Mount Washington love their view but there’s a lot more there. No one likes being known for just one thing.

Greg Panza of the Mount Washington Community Development Corp. has worked hard over the years to pull off an attraction that consumes an entire summer of Saturdays: The Mount Washington Art Market.

It gives lots of people a chance to sell their wares, brings shoppers who may also patronize the established businesses along Shiloh and other commercial streets and gives Mount Washington something else to brag about.

The first Saturday for the art market is day after tomorrow, and i will run every Saturday through Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Art, crafts, jewelry, performances and, of course, a world-class view.

Yeah, we have to keep bringing that up.
