Restaurants Open on Memorial Day

Written by China Millman on .

Don't have a grill? Want to celebrate a day off with a meal out? Between Monday and Memorial Day, lots of Pittsburgh businesses are closed, but these bars and restaurants are ready and willing to entertain you.

Burgatory Bar at the Water Works mall has a Memorial Day special: Cookout burger topped with Farmhouse Cheddar, pulled babyback ribs, bourbon bbq and creamy coleslaw on a brioche bun.

Harris Grill Shadyside is open all day, and there's nothing that quenches your thirst quite like a frozen cosmo.

Mad Mexes are open all day and well into the night, while Casbah and Soba in Shadyside, and Eleven and Kaya in the Strip District are open for dinner only.

The Smiling Moose on the South Side opens at 2 p.m., with food starting at 6 p.m. They have a newly updated food and drink menu, if you need another reason to celebrate.

The Melting Pot in Station Square will be open at 4 p.m.

Bistro To-Go on the North Side is open and there are reports of outdoor grilling.

Thai Cuisine in Bloomfield is open.

I'll update this list throughout the day with more restaurant and bar options.
