Typhoon in Shadyside to Close

Typhoon in Shadyside will close on Saturday, April 23, "two weeks after celebrating its seventh anniversary" according to a press release from owner Michael Johnson.

The upscale restaurant offered an unusual blend of Thai and New American cuisine with a well matched wine and cocktail list.

While its closing will be a blow to many, there is a silver lining. The space will be filled by a traditional Thai restaurant in early May. Kanok will be BYOB and open daily for lunch and dinner.
