Stink bugs inside? Tip from a reader to deal with them.
From L.J. Szell-
I have discovered a new method of collecting and disposing of these pests. I used my garage wall hanging wet and dry vacuum with the filter removed which has a 12 foot hose attachment. I put 1 pound of baking soda spread out on the bottom of the canister. I went around the house and sucked up all the bugs with very little odor and to my surprise the baking soda killed all the bugs inside the plastic canister. I believe the salt content of the baking soda killed the bugs. The canister can be emptied into a garbage bag with no odor left behind in the canister.Just rinse the canister with water reinstall the filter and you are finished. Also these creatures hide in your fireplace chimney flue. if you use your fireplace before it gets real cold, this prevents them from coming into the inside of the house.
