Learn to compost with the help of Pennsyvania Resources Council

Written by Doug Oster on .

Want a green thumb? Compost is the key, and it's easy to make your own when you know how.

Making your own compost has many benefits. You'll reduce what your sending to the landfill, and you'll be doing the best kind of recycling. Compost is the result of that recycling. It's a sweet smelling, nutrient rich soil conditioner that is the building block for most great gardens.

Pennsylvania Resources Council holds a great class to teach homeowners how to compost and you get a compost bin when you finish the class.

This workshop thoroughly covers the importance of composting, setting up a compost pile, proper maintenance and ways of using finished compost. Participants will receive an Earth Machine Compost Bin with attendance. This bin, approved across the state as an ideal bin for urban and suburban areas, has an eighty-gallon capacity.

Sign up for a Backyard Composting Workshop and turn your yard waste and food scraps into a valuable resource for your garden. If you would like to receive workshop updates by email, please send a request to the contact information below.
