The beauty of an All American baby toad

It's a good feeling to see little toads like this in the garden. Harkins back to my childhood when we say big toads all summer long near the foundation of the house. It was exciting to see one then and it's exciting to see one now.
It's been very dry and I've only found three or four. That means there are plenty around, and they eat slugs and other pests!
One of the benefits of not using chemicals in the garden is the proliferation of wildlife. It's a good feeling to know the birds, bees, other insects and of course toads are not being affected by sprays in the garden.
There must be a couple different species, I've seen some that look like the one above and a few that are almost black.
The beauty of nature can be seen everywhere, don't take it for granted.
