There is nothing in this world as welcome as the sweet small white and green blooms of snowdrops in February. There's no stopping us now, something has bloomed and even though the calender says it's winter, that's wrong, spring begins when snowdrops appear regardless of what the season brings.

Hallaluhia! I couldn't contain myslef as I laid on the cool stone pavers photographing the first flowers of the season. Plant snowdrops in fall to be rewarded with late winter blooms. These were a gift from a reader, which makes them even more special.

All I can do is smile as I look at snowdrops blooming.
