My family thinks I'm crazy

So there we are at the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens in Paris and I'm drawn to all these little clay pots. "What are you taking a picture of?" my wife asked. I guess I couldn't explain, but as a gardener look at all those little containers. I don't think you'd ever see horticulturalist in this country using them, it would all be plastic.

Could you imagine keeping them watered? The clay sucks the water right out of the soil. I just wondered what was planted in them. How long did it take to pot them up and then plant them out?

I understand why they think I'm crazy for being interested in a basket of clay pots, but I bet gardeners understand.
