Once in a lifetime bloom at Phipps

Written by Doug Oster on .

An agave plant at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens has climbed over 30 feet in the air and started to bloom. The plant will only bloom once in its lifetime and then dies, this plant is estimated to be over 40 years old.
