Coleus is coming in too

Written by Doug Oster on .

I filled my main bed with containers this year, figuring I'd never have enough time to keep everything weeded. Boy did that work out well; plenty of rain to keep those containers moist. Growing in pots is always a good idea in May, but can be a curse in July when they need to be watered every day. Since most of my garden is in the shade, I use plants like coleaus to provide color. This one will enjoy time on
the windowsill this winter. I love what breeders have done with this plant, each year a different color combination shows up. I'm going to take cuttings and bring this pretty plant inside and dream about this great season we had and hope for a wonderful year in 2010.
