Easy stocking stuffer for plant lovers

Every gardener or plant lover would enjoy the gift of paperwhites. They are annual daffodils that are foolproof. It's so nice to have something blooming inside when it's cold outside. The bulbs can be grown in any medium including gravel. All you need is a pot and some water. I like to grow them in planting mix. They'll get about 18 inches tall and the stems will be filled with white aromatic flowers. The smell though is an acquired taste and not for everyone. To me it smells like spring, to others not so much like spring.

After the bulbs are done flowering they should be relegated to the compost bin, it's almost impossible to get blooms again, although they will send up foliage each year.

The bulbs can be bought as is or sometimes already potted up for a fun gardening gift.
