'Congratulations' sung by the crowd
The crowd is singing a song. What is it? Your royal correspondent asked. "Cliff Richard's 'Congratulations,' " said Peter Gentry. "Haven't you ever heard of him? He's older than God's dog. The Peter Pan of pop music."
From the vantage point of Claudia Boyd-Barrett:
The service is being broadcast on loud speakers on The Mall. People are singing along with the hymns. Although the British flag is omnipresent out here on the streets, you can hear people speaking languages from around the globe.
As the ceremony continues, the crowd is singing along to "Jerusalem." It feels like a huge outdoor church. Then huge cheers and flag waving, and everyone singing "God Save the Queen."
