The "Three B's"
This Summerburgh post could have gone under a number of titles, e.g:
"In which I do an on-camera interview with Drew Lachey and the world doesn't explode from the improbability of it all..."
"In which the PG studio welcomes yet another former boy band member and I don't die..."
"Omg. Drew."
...

Okay, so I exaggerate. As I admitted a few posts ago, I was an O*Town girl back in the day, and so 98 degrees in person, while cool, didn't make me all that nervous. But nevertheless, interviewing Drew and his Hairspray co-star Katrina Rose Dideriksen was a challenge I had not anticipated when I first accepted my multimedia intern status here at the Post-Gazette.
To summarize the experience en bref, both Katrina and Drew were absolute sweethearts. They seem at ease both in their own skin and with one another-- which is no easy feat, considering they have had less than a week of rehearsal time to develop a rapport.
(As an aside, before we got started, Drew insisted that I not ask him 'Boxers or Briefs?' the number one question that he used to get when he gave interviews as a member of 98 degrees)
I decided on the "3 B's" for this post because in Drew's own words, it's what represents his career and ultimately, him as a person: Boy Bands, Ballroom, Broadway.
I really couldn't have expected anything more from him, he's totally down to earth and clearly passionate about theater. One thing for Pittsburghers to keep in mind though is that he's originally from Cincinnati... You'll have to watch through the end of the video to hear the anti-Steelers comment he makes at the end, I won't spoil it here.
Be sure to check out the interview, now up on post-gazette.com.
Cheers,
Beth
