Ian McShane may set sail in 'Pirates'

This makes such perfect sense that I hope it happens: Variety reports Ian McShane is talking about playing Bluebeard in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."

Former Rob Marshall will direct the fourth installment of the franchise featuring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Also in talks to appear is Penelope Cruz, who scored the only acting Oscar nomination from Marshall's "Nine."

"Pirates" is scheduled to be released May 20, 2011. It will deal with the hunt for the Fountain of Youth, a never-ending search in Hollywood.
