'The Road' gets DVD date

If Thanksgiving was the wrong time for "The Road," how does early summer sound?

The adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy novel will be released on May 25. The DVD will have a suggested retail price of $27.96 and the Blu-ray, $34.95.

Blu-ray and DVD will have a featurette on "The Making of the Road," deleted scenes and a commentary with director John Hillcoat. Blu-ray also will movieIQTM+sync and BD-Live which connects you to real-time information on the cast, music, trivia and other information while watching.

 Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Robert Duvall star in John Hillcoat's version of the post-apocalyptic tale about a father and son struggling to stay alive in a world stripped of life. The movie was shot largely in Western Pennsylvania.
