Mmmm.. cultural, yet cheap!

Walkabout is teaming up with Living Pittsburgh so the site can get the word out to you on how you can support the economy without emptying your wallet. (This is for people who have still a little money in their wallets.)
Heather Walsh and Rachel Booth, about whom Walkabout wrote in a recent post, started their Living Pittsburgh venture as stay-at-home mothers.
You can visit www.livingpittsburgh.com to see the range of what they dig up to tell you about. They're all about deals, and who isn't?
Here's their advice on what to do Downtown tonight:
"Terrific Tuesday in the Cultural DIstrict"
Living Pittsburgh is here to debunk the theory that all things Downtown, and especially in the Cultural District, are expensive. Here's how you can have a fabulously inexpensive evening livin' it up Downtown.
Head over to Grille on Seventh in the Cultural District around 4 pm to take advantage of their happy hour specials. (Happy hour is from 4-6.) Order some appetizers, like the Buffalo Chicken Dip with tortilla chips and Roasted Red Pepper Hummus served with olives, tomatoes, imported cheeses and pita bread, along with a couple $3.00 Magic Hat craft brews.
After filling up, take
advantage of JazzLIVE from 5 - 7; a free jazz concert sponsored by the
Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. During the summer months the concert is outdoors at
Katz Plaza, but during the cooler months it's held at the Backstage Bar behind
Theater Square garage. On Tuesdays, the Backstage Bar also features $5 Absolut
Martinis all night, so you can also enjoy a beverage while
watching
the show.
After all that culture you're probably going to want a sweet treat! Head
over to Crazy Mocha at the corner of 8th Street and Liberty Avenue to pick up a
small cup of joe and a biscotti for dipping.
Your total for the evening? Around $40 for two including tips! Not bad for
the swanky side of Downtown!
*includes 2 appetizers and 2 craft beers, live jazz show and 2 martinis, 2
small coffees and 2 biscottis, and 18-20% tips.
Look for future posts that include deals recommended by Heather and Rachel.
