Josh GibsonWith a rejuvenated Leonard Slatkin on the podium, the Pittsburgh Symphony put on an intriguing program this past weekend, headed by two newer works, including one by Richard Danielpour celebrating the lives of three African-American baseball players (one, the great Josh Gibson, in the photo in his Homestead Grays uniform) and one by Mason Bates with nuanced electronica beats.
