* It will be slow the next few days on the blog, as I am heading for Jacksonville tomorrow night (yes, on Christmas night) to cover the Gator Bowl.

It was by choice to fly Christmas night, as to avoid the airport on the 26th -- as there are more than a few horror stories from traveling the day after Christmas.

So, with all that said, I will not be at the Old Dominion game on the 30th, but plan to make as many blog posts as I can from Jacksonville in between my duties of covering West Virginia football I will keep up with the Dukes as much as possible through the magic of the web and a few calls to Duquesne sports information sensei Dave Saba.

* One order of business before my departure. I have received in the area of 10-12 questions in the past 48 hours, all asking the same thing: "Is someone leaving the team at the semester break?"

Instead of answering all those questions individually, I will attempt to knock it down in one shot, so here you go: Everyone is expected back on the team next semester, as no one is expected to leave. Your answer will come, for sure, at the Old Dominion game when everyone is either there, or not there. But, again, everyone is expected back.

* Last thing, I will definitely field Q&A submissions any time you send them, even through the next week while I am in Jacksonville (I come back to Pittsburgh on Jan. 2). Simply send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with 'DUKES Q&A' in the subject line and I will tackle it when I get a few minutes.

Happy Holidays
