Eric Evans' numbers have been striking
By Colin Dunlap | 8:54 a.m. Friday
After looking through the numbers, this was one of those stories that had to be written.
On the surface, I had realized that Eric Evans had been playing well as of late, playing really well in the past five games, but after digging into the numbers a bit deeper, it was astounding.
To wit:
- In the past five games, Evans has put together 21 assists to four
turnovers and has 12 steals. In that span, he has had two games --
victories against Charlotte and La Salle -- in which he did not commit
a turnover.
For that reason, it was high time to write a feature on the quiet kid from Detroit, which you can read here: LINK
But, there is something else to this post.
I want to ask -- this might be a stretch, but it might not -- did Eric Evans' play go a long way toward saving this season?
