Q&A on (another) snowy day - 2/27/10

As the snow is all over my driveway in Pittsburgh, and I will use the above implement for the better part of the day, here are a few Q&A submissions from Matt in South Jersey to get you started:

Q: Any guess as to Melquan Bolding's struggles on the offensive end (and defensive end, too, to a point) in recent games? I know he said he dislikes the 10/40 sub pattern early in teh game, but do you think there's something else behind it?

DUNLAP: To me, what is behind all of this is still that injury. Let us all remember that Mel came back -- maybe too quickly, even -- from an injury that was supposed to keep him out longer. While he looked good in his second or third game back, I think it could be where the wrist is bothering him some or, perhaps, he is just having a tough time with everything else, as he concentrated so much on rehabbing that wrist. I will say this: Whatever it is has not been obvious, but it has been holding him back, as he hasn't been himself over the past couple of weeks.

Q: Any plan to wear the red jerseys again this year? Seems odd to just wear them once.

DUNLAP: I would think they would wear them if they made the NCAA tournament. Are those plans? I don't know.

Here is a question from Brent in Monroeville

Q: Just wanted your take on the coaches in the A10, and your list as to how you'd rank the A10 coaches from what you've seen.

DUNLAP: If you are asking in terms of on-the-floor (and I suspect you are), if you are asking in terms of "if both teams took the floor with equal talent, who would win" here is my list:

  1. Majerus
  2. Dunphy
  3. Baron
  4. Mooney
  5. Everhart
  6. Mack
  7. Lutz
  8. Gregory
  9. Martelli
  10. Giannini
  11. Kellogg
  12. Schmidt
  13. Grasso
  14. Hobbs
