No WVU-ECU changes due to Hanna. . . yet

East Carolina University officials announced late this afternoon that Saturday's West Virginia-ECU game remains unchanged -- 4:30 p.m. on ESPN and inside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville, N.C., as scheduled.

Their only game alteration thus far, caused by forecasts that Hurricane Hanna may arrive Saturday morning along the North Carolina coastline some 80 miles to the east and southeast, call for traffic changes in the grass parking lots that may flood around the stadium. To allow for drainage, ECU officials are: opening lots only three hours prior to kickoff; prohibiting tents and towed cookers; and encouraging fans to car-pool.

However, in their news release late today, ECU officials noted that the gametime remains 4:30 p.m. "based on the best information available at this time" -- which holds out the possibility that the kickoff ultimately could be moved due to weather conditions.

The release added that an update will be forthcoming "mid-day Friday."
