Monday morning links and other notes from the weekend
According to the Associated Press Georgia is the first team to drop two spots from No. 1 without losing in 23 years. One other note from the AP poll, Southeastern Conference researchers report this is the first time in history that five teams from that conference are ranked in the top 10.
Georgia coach Mark Richt isn't all that concerned with his team dropping to No. 3 in both polls despite the Bulldogs' 3-0 record.
Bob Hunter of the Columbus Dispatch believe Terrelle Pryor should be Ohio State's new starting quarterback.
Chuck Carlton from the Dallas Morning News does not believe Ohio State should creep into any talk of the BCS title game this year.
One final thought, if Pitt wants to ensure a victory against Iowa, Steve Pederson ought to ask Dennis Quaid and the movie company promoting The Express to be in attendance at Heinz Field Saturday. Quaid, who stars in the movie depicting gthe life of former Syracuse star Ernie Davis, was on the field at the Carrier Dome before Penn State crushed the Orange. The next day he was on the field at Cleveland Browns Stadium before the Steelers beat the Browns. Davis was drafted by the Browns, but died before he could ever play a game.
