Why is it so?

Written by Ced Kurtz on .

Anybody remember Julius Sumner Miller?  He made science interesting when I was a kid and I must have seen him in reruns of The Mickey Mouse Club.  I enjoyed his quirky sense of humor but more importantly, he helped to shape my understanding of things like electricity and chemistry.  He did an excellent job of explaining things in a way that made sense to me as an 8-year-old.  Maybe that says more about me than it does about him.  You decide.

He passed away in 1987 but lives on through his recorded episodes, which can be seen here.

Thanks to Make Magazine for reminding us about Dr. Miller.
