The Tea Party birthday
Ah, the weekend has come. Hurrah for us.
Saturday is the birthday of the Tea Party movement. On Feb. 27 last year, the first Tea Parties were held across the nation, including Pittsburgh.
Let us consider that date for a moment. Obama had been in office about one month. He had done nothing. He was probably still looking for the men's room.
And, already, people were gathering all over the nation to denounce him. Well, that makes a whole lot of sense, doesn't it?
Call me old-fashioned, but I preferred the days when someone actually did something before angry mobs would congregate.
However, I do note with approval that the Tea Party celebrations in McCandless tomorrow have been canceled because of the weather. It turns out that the fearless patriots are all snow wimps.
Happy weekend, everybody!
