Penguins to face Capitals in alumni game - 12-10-10

Mario Lemieux (right), Paul Coffey, Ron Francis, Bryan Trottier and Bill Guerin will be among the former Penguins players who will take part in an alumni game with the rival Capitals at Heinz Field, Dec. 31.

The New Year's Eve game will be played at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by practices for the current teams.

Former forward Petr Bondra is expected to skate for the Capitals' alumni. Complete rosters will be announced later.

Tickets for the game and the Penguins practice are $25 each.

EN Says: We can see charging for the game, but the practice too? Why not make that part of the alumni game ticket? Or make that a bonus for the folks who bought tickets to the actualy Winter Classic game?

The NHL is squeezing every cent it can out of this event.
