They have us walking in from the service entrance, so its only photos from the back side of the building for the time being.
-Group B is on the ice:
-This group consists of:
A few sights around the building. Major jersey foul here. Heck, try life foul. A (blurry) Tony Romo jersey:
-This makes up for it. A Mike Comrie t-shirt jersey:
-Our apologies if things are a little slow. The wireless access here is less than ideal.
Group B and C have begin a scrimmage. Group C consists of:
-Again, you can never put too much weight into scrimmages, but Malkin is on a line with Tangradi and Comrie.
-Mark Letestu scored to put Group B up 1-0. He now unofficially leads all goal scorers in camp with two goals. Can the Rocket Richard trophy be in his sights? Cooke recorded the only assist.
-Adams, Rupp and Talbot are teamed together on a line.
-Jeffrey, on a line with Smigelski an Kennedy puts one buy Modig on a nifty move. Kennedy gets the only assist. Group C ties it 1-1.
-Veilleux took an awkward spill in front of what will be the visiting team's bench after a hit. You kind of have to hold your breath anytime he falls like that considering the wonky shoulder he had last season.
-From the right wing, Malkin centered a pass to Comrie. Comrie tried to pull the trigger but his shot was deflected wide by a stick.
-Sterling is now getting some time with Jeffrey and Kennedy.
-Group C has an intriguing combination of Letang and Martin on defense. Plenty of speed on that blue line.
-The first period (of two) comes to an end. Tie game, 1-1.
-Period two begins. Lovejoy and Goligoski are paired together for Group B. We'd be a little worried about that pairing if it was ever used in a game of consequence.
-There is a pretty solid crowd here once again for the second day. We'd estimate around 5,000 souls are here.
-Curry boots out a sharp one-timer by Letang from the right point.
-We so want to root for Tim Wallace to get a chance in the NHL, but it's just not going to happen. They have so many more guys like him already on the NHL roster. Still, he's an easy guy to pull for.
-Corey Potter (6-foot-2, 206 pounds) absolutely slammed Jesse Boulerice (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) into the board in front of the visiting penalty box. Potter needs to do things like that in order to stick with the NHL club.
-Potter and Wagner are teamed up in a defensive pairing for Group C. If nothing else, they'll give the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a really nice AHL blue line.
-Veilleux had a nice effort to force Deryk Engelland into a turnover in Engelland's own zone. Veilleux's a tall guy (6-foot-5, 218 pounds) and like Jordan Staal, he has a long reach.
-Engelland can't have sloppy turnovers like that. He's in a battle for the No. 7 defenseman spot.
-Craig Adams went all Michel Ouellet and cranked a wild slapper from the right wing about 492 feet over the net.
-Cooke centers a pass to the slot from the right wing corner. The puck hops up a bit and prevents Asham from getting a clean shot off.
-Letang goes all Bobby Orr and leads a rush deep on the left wing.
-Group B nearly scores but the official rules the puck was put past Pechurskiy with a high stick. We believe Tyler Brown was the guilty party.
-Curry squares up and fights off a nice little rising wrister by Veilleux from the right cicle.
-Sneep booms a big slapper from the right point. Curry eats it up despite traffic. Sill created that chance by basically dropping Wallace in the left wing corner and taking the puck.
-Curry with another nice save against Kennedy who snuck a wrister in from the right wing. Curry needs to rebound in a big way this season regardless of what level he's at. He had a rough 2009-10.
-Potter drops a Group B forward in his defensive zone. Potter's not shy about contact.
-Off a faceoff in the offensive zone, Nick Johnson picks up a loose puck in the slot and put a wrister on net immediately. Curry fights it off. Curry is looking good.
-Malkin is getting some time with Jeffrey and Tangradi.
-End of the second period. 1-1 still.
-Sudden death shootout. Tangradi is up against Curry. He moves in from the right wing and rips a rising wrister off the cross bark.
-Letestu moves in slowly and simply chips a wrister through Pechurskiyy's five hole. Group B wins, 2-1. When's the parade?
-Apologies for the long delay. They had some media access and we took advantage of it. Mike Comrie is a solid quote. He actually has something to say. We'll transcribe him for later in the week.
-Group A has taken to the ice. This group consists of:
-Johnson is getting a new mask at some point. And once again he'll have a Led Zepplin theme to it. It's due to arrive next week.
