The long awaited EN vacation begins today. We will be taking three weeks off from the grueling world of eating free food and looking for former Penguins who have signed with KHL teams.

We'll return Sept. 7 (the day after Labor Day) with a post of some significance.

In the meantime, we'll have dummy posts with any birthdays and some videos we have stashed away in our bookmarks. Should anything major Penguins related take place like.... Sidney Crosby... giving birth... we'll have something. As always, if you see a news item, feel free to share it in the comments.

Now off to find a beach where hockey jerseys and leaky coolers are acceptable.

-Happy 30th birthday to former Penguins forward Adam Hall. A free agent signing prior to the 2007-08 season, Hall's Penguins career amounted to 46 games and six points that campaign. In the postseason, he saw action in 17 games and scored four points as the team advanced to the Stanley Cup Final. In the Final against Detroit, he scored two goals in two seperate games, both wins for the Penguins. In the 2008 offseason, he joined the Lightning as a free agent. He spent last season with the Norfolk Admirals, Tampa Bay's AHL affiliate.
