Penguins
-The Penguins unveiled their all-time team.

-Former Penguins forward Nathan Smith has joined the Augsburger Panther in Germany. Smith spent last season with the Wild organization.
-Former Wheeling Nailers forward Jordan Fox joined Jokipojat in Finland.
-Happy 23rd birthday to the whiniest whiner in the history of whining. Or if you deal in reality, the best hockey player in the world (right).
-Happy 36th birthday to former Penguins goaltender Philippe DeRouville. A fifth-round pick in 1992, DeRouville made his NHL debut in 1994-95. He won his only game that season by making 24 saves on 27 shots. In 1995-96, DeRouville had an 0-2-0 record, 3.24 goals against average and .909 save percentage. Overall, DeRouville's career record with the Penguins was 1-2-0 and had a 3.16 goals against average and .903 save percentage. He was released in 1997.
Northeast Division
-Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas is still recovering from offseason hip surgery.
-The Senators signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Andre Benoit, formerly of the Canadiens, to a one-year, two-way contract.
Central Division
-Former Stars forward Mike Modano (right) officially joined the Red Wings. He will wear No. 90 for Detroit.
-Former Canadiens/Blackhawks/Red Wings/Thrashers defenseman Chris Chelios officially retired and will take a front off position with the Red Wings.
Northwest Division
-The Wild signed unrestricted free agent forward John Madden, formerly of the Blackhawks, to a one-year deal worth $1 million.
-Former Mighty Ducks/Hurricanes/Senators/Maple Leafs goaltender Martin Gerber signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Oilers. He spent last season with Altant Moscow of the KHL.
Pacific Division
-According to Sports Journal, a Finnish magazine, Ducks forward Teemu Selanne will put off retirement another year and return to Anaheim.
Smythe Division
-Former Sabres/Thrashers forward Maxim Afinogenov (right) has joined SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL.
-Former Capitals/Canucks/Lightning forward Matt Pettinger has joined the Cologne Sharks in Germany.
-According to the Altoona Mirror, Penn State is "close" to getting a new hockey arena and division I men's and women's teams.
