Penguins

-Those old frumpy guys who used to waddle out on the ice to clean up during stoppages at Mellon Arena? They won't be around in Consol Energy Center.

-Happy 35th birthday to former Penguins defenseman Alain Nasreddine (right). Acquired at the 2004 trade deadline in a deal which sent Steve Webb to the Islanders, Nasreddine spent parts of three seasons with the Penguins. Following the 2004-05 lockout, he appeared in six games and didn't record a point for the Penguins in 2005-06. The 2006-07 campaign was his finest as an NHLer as he appeared in a career-high 44 games and scored five points. In 2007-08, Nasreddine was limited to six games and no points. During the 2008 offseason, he joined the Sinupret Ice Tigers Nurnberg in Germany. He has spent the past two seasons with Nurnberg. In 56 games with the Penguins, he scored five points.
