Penguins select RW Kuehnhackl in fourth round - 06-26-10
With their fourth-round pick, the Penguins selected another right winger, Tom Keuhnhackl.
A native of Landshut, Germany, Keuhnhackl, 6-foot-2, 172 pounds, is committed to play for the OHL's Windsor Spitfires who are coached by former Penguins defenseman Bob Boughner.
Last season with the Lanshut Cannibals (what a name) of the 2nd Eishockey-Bundesliga, Germany's second-tier league, Keuhnhackl appeared in 38 games and recorded 21 points (12 goals, nine assists).
His father, Erich, is a German hockey legend and was named that country's player of the century in 2000.
Keuhnhackl is believed to be the first German drafted by the Penguins since the team took defenseman Sven Butenschon in the third round in 1994.
