Damned either way
Your June 20 Sunday Perspectives page certainly gives one an interesting perspective without even having to read any of the columns. On the left side of Page B3, the subheadline of PG executive editor David M. Shribman's column states, "By becoming so personally involved in the oil spill, Barack Obama is enlarging the presidency." However, just glancing to the right a bit shows us that PG columnist Jack Kelly believes, "Obama failed to take the reins when the oil spilled."
Mr. Obama was clearly damned if he did and damned if he didn't.
It just makes one wonder if there is, has been, was or ever will be anything at all that President Obama could do that would not be wrong. I'm doubtful about it.
