Former Penguins forward Mark Recchi, 42, re-signed with the Bruins for one year. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
In 81 games last season, Recchi was the Bruins' fourth-leading scorer with 43 points (18 goals, 25 assists). Recchi was productive in the posteason as he recorded 10 points (six goals, four assists) in 13 games.
Recchi is the 13th leading career scorer in NHL history with, 1,485.
EN Says: Assuming the money's right, it's a solid signing. Recchi is still a viable top six winger who has found a way to compensate for his declining skating ability by becoming a solid player positionally. He was one of the Bruins' top players in the playoffs.
And he stays healthy despite his advanced age. The past two seasons combined, he has missed all of three games.
