With 47 days left before high school football season ...

With 47 days left, we can look forward to when the real games start so we can avoid the kind of garbage that happened down in Florida yesterday between Pahokee and Miami's Booker T. Washington.

Seems that the action at a 7-on-7 tournament in Miramar between the two schools got a little a whole lot heated and ended up with dudes scraping and brawling and both teams getting tossed out of the tournament.

Jason Lieser of The Palm Beach Post did a masterful job of filling us into as to exactly what happened, including one of the coaches busting his knee up pretty good. 

Which brings me to this -- I kind of always thought these 7-on-7 events were taken waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously by some schools and, in the end, they really don't accomplish all that much.
