Back libraries
In this climate more people are visiting and using library resources. Families are staying in the library longer because it is free entertainment and saves them money because they aren't using utilities for heat and electricity in their homes.
People who have lost their jobs or who are looking for career changes are using the job centers and computer classes to educate themselves and to better themselves.
The children's programs are educating all children but especially those under 5 years of age, which is a time that is crucial to early literacy skills.
Finally, the library is a source of comfort to those who cannot afford to buy books and movies. It allows them to relieve the stress of daily life by borrowing free materials. It is also a social outlet for many who need to connect to others.
Thank you to the lawmakers for every effort they make to restore access to much-needed library services for their constituents of all ages.
