-Happy 81st birthday to former Penguins coach Johnny Wilson. Hired in the 1977 offseason, Wilson spent three seasons as the team's head coach. During his tenure, Wilson coached 240 games and had a record of 91-105-44 and reached the playoffs two times. He was replaced in the 1980 offseason by Eddie Johnston.
