HOV scofflaws
I'd like to ask the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation if HOV really stands for "Has One Occupant per Vehicle." If there is no penalty for misusing the HOV lanes, then they have no value.
On my drive into work, I frequently see cars blasting by me at 80 mph or greater, with no retribution as to their speed or the fact that they're the only person in the car. How difficult would it be to put cameras at the starting and ending points of the HOV lanes to both time the speed of the vehicles and determine whether there are multiple passengers in each car?
I'm tired of being the only person who plays by the rules, and this will only get worse unless PennDOT starts enacting some enforcement for the roadways.
