Judicial flip-flop

Written by Susan Mannella on .

When George W. Bush nominated Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court, then-Sen. Barack Obama was critical of the decision because Ms. Miers lacked judicial experience. His criticism was echoed by fellow Democrats in the rank and file.

Now we have Elena Kagan as a nominee, whose lack of judicial experience doesn't really concern me as a voter; I am just questioning the obvious double standard.
