Sweetbriar woes
In the article "Man Throws a Legal Block to Detour Pittsburgh Buses" (May 12), George Janusz said he is happy with the situation that senior citizens have now to walk up the street to catch the 41E bus at Mount Washington.
As I read the article, my frustration increased more and more at how one man can influence the traffic and make it worse for older people just because the bus in front of his house is too loud. That is selfish! Mr. Janusz said he has lived on Sweetbriar Street since 1982 and now it is a problem for him?
I live near the airport and I cannot complain that the airplanes are too loud. My suggestion for Mr. Janusz is to change the windows in his house. It makes a big difference and new windows could bring his electric bill down.
I hope that the Public Works Department finds a fast solution that makes both parties happy. The time and money they put into this conflict could be enough to pay for Mr. Janusz's new windows.
