Has he no shame?

Written by Susan Mannella on .

I find it shocking that Pennsylvania state trooper Edward Joyner is appealing the Pennsylvania State Police Department's decision to forbid him from working as Ben Roethlisberger's so-called "assistant" ("State Trooper Appeals Order to Stop Working as Roethlisberger's Driver," May 13).

Has this man no shame, dignity or respect for his position or the reputation of Pennsylvania state troopers? Obviously not if he has been cavorting with Ben Roethlisberger on his barroom escapades over the past couple of years. One can only assume that Trooper Joyner somehow condones the despicable behavior of Mr. Roethlisberger.

Let's hope Mr. Joyner's attitude is not representative of the majority of Pennsylvania state troopers. I question the fact that this man has not been dismissed for his role in Ben Roethlisberger's latest caper.
