Wisely invest in kids

Written by Susan Mannella on .

In response to the article "Calls Ring to End Childhood Education Cuts" (May 13): I have to say that I agree with all the points given. In a way these pre-kindergarten programs are preventive maintenance for society. As a taxpayer, I have no problem putting money into such school programs rather than to shelter, feed and help "career criminals" get back on their feet.

There is an old saying in politics that "children don't vote," but I am glad to see those with authority are remembering that it is important to take care of the children who will someday be taking care of us.
