Whose side, GOP?
In November, remember one thing:
The Republican Party would have you believe that President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party are the reason that our country is in financial distress. I seem to remember that the White House had a Republican at the helm when Wall Street went into the toilet. I also seem to remember that the Republican White House, Senate and Congress shouted down the call from Americans that there be federal regulations for large companies after Enron occurred. The Republicans said that Enron was an isolated occurrence.
Call me crazy, but if the Republican Party is on the side of all Americans, I would think it would jump on the chance to create laws to protect taxpayers, even Republican taxpayers. Unless, of course, the Republican voters are willing to support their party no matter what. I'd be willing to bet that the Republican voters would be willing to pay twice the taxes they now pay to support their party's policies.
