BP has been unbelievable during this mess

Is anyone out there buying anything that BP has to say concerning this oil well disaster? Anyone?

BP has continually downplayed and back-pedaled on everything from the amount of oil and gas being discharged to how much damage it will cause. Most comparisons being put forth concern the Exxon Valdez calamity. Well, let's see now ... wherever the Valdez loaded its oil supply, do you think it took 24 hours a day for more than a month to fill? I doubt it.

So think about what is happening in the Gulf -- three separate leaks (two now) spewing oil into the Gulf of Mexico 24 hours a day since April 20. I don't think anyone can imagine the amount. Would it fill 100 stadiums, a thousand, a million? Is it enough to cover the entire state of Pennsylvania 3 feet deep? Even if BP knew, it isn't going to tell us.

And all BP had to show more than a month after the explosion was two attempts at trying to stanch the leak -- two stinking tries. What has it been doing the rest of the time? Trying to put the best spin possible on this mess and lie to the American people and its government.
